This patient had a neglected injury on her ankle for over one year with no further treatment performed. After one year of being treated by Orthopedists with a simple surgery, the patient continued having pain and discomfort. The next step was to have a new MRI ancillary testing work up and plan the appropriate surgery needed. The MRI results indicated a peroneal tendon rupture causing symptoms such as the ankle pain, swelling, and instability.
As seen below, A Peroneal Tendon Rupture repair with Allograft and Lateral Ankle Ligament repair was successfully performed on this patient.
